Another tough day for men's tennis at NJCAA
Tyler, Texas – It was another rough day for Mesa at the NJCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships Tuesday. MCC is in 20th place with 5.5 points.
The T-Birds won only three consolation matches, but still have four singles players and all three doubles teams, alive in the consolation bracket.
"The T-Birds showed their grit and fought for every point" noted head coach Feroz Rast.. "The day started with both Beto Carlon and Arturo Socias Salvo fighting to get into the quarterfinals. Both matches were hard fought but we did finish them with a win.
"The afternoon was much better as Duncan Mulenga and Lukas Baruffi both won their second singles matches and also Harry and Arturo won their doubles against New Mexico Military. We look forward to Day 3 matches on Wednesday.:
