Men's tennis wins eighth consecutive Region I title

  Glendale, AZ – For the eighth year in a row the Mesa men's tennis team has won the Region I championship.

  The T-Birds edged Paradise Valley, 14-12 Wednesday at the Paseo Tennis Center and will now move on to the NJCAA Division I National Championships.

"So proud of both teams today," said head coach Feroz Rast. "The men worked hard and pulled out the big win in doubles to clinch the tournament title! We have been battling some injuries and our guys all stepped up. Very proud of the focus and drive."
