Men's, women's tennis sweep Glendale
It was a fine spring day for the Mesa men's and women's tennis teams which both defeated Glendale Tuesday.
The men won 8-1 and the women 9-0 in ACCAC play.
Said head coach Feroz Rast, "It was a great team win today! I loved how focused we came out on the road against a region opponent.
"We played hard and communicated. Highlight of the day was the play of Freshman Lukas Baruffi who won in a comeback fashion. 5-7, 6-4, 10-3. It's very important for us to keep growing and improving as we get ready for another big match tomorrow!"
The Mesa women continue a busy week, hosting Colorado State-Pueblo Wednesday at 4:30 and then ACCAC-leading Eastern Arizona Thursday at 4:00. The MCC men are off until next Tuesday when they travel to Paradise Valley for an ACCAC match at 1:30.
