Men's and women's tennis fall to four-year Ottawa
Surprise, AZ - Playing a strong, four-year, Ottawa (AZ) team for the second time this season, both the Mesa men's and women's tennis teams fell Monday by the same score, 8-1.
Noted Mesa head coach Feroz Rast, "It was a great effort and lots of chances. The men had a chance to win all three doubles matches and we just couldn't close. I know we will learn from this and be better for Thursday.
The women fought and we just missed on the deuce points. The sets were very close and we need to close out those matches."
The T-Birds will entertain the University of the Southwest, a four-year NAIA school Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
