Men's, women's tennis sweep Paradise Valley

Paradise Valley, AZ – The mesa men's and women's tennis team each won their matches against Paradise Valley Tuesday.

The men were victorious 6-3 and the women 7-2.

"What a match today on both sides," said head coach Feroz Rast. "Playing at PVCC is always tough.  They are a very strong team and always well coached.

"I loved the fight as we were down early in doubles for the men.  We showed our toughness and pulled out the wins 1n doubles 1 and 3. Singles proved to be just as tough as all matches were close on the men's side and women's.

"The girls came to work as they pulled out big wins in all but one singles match.  We really focused on our play and won in impressive fashion. Highlight of the day was the win by freshman Brianna Clayton as she won a thriller.

"I am looking forward to another challenge on Thursday.

Both teams will be on the road Thursday taking on Glendale.
