Men's Tennis National Tournament DAY 3 Results

PLANO, Texas – It was a rough day for the Mesa men's tennis team as only one of the eight players who won first round matches advanced to the semi-finals Wednesday.  

Still, the T-Birds are in fifth place with 26.5 points, two and a half in front of Seward Co. with 24.  

Cowley Co. and Laredo are tied for seventh at 21.5. ASA and Tyler are tied for the lead with 36, one ahead of Seminole State.  

Third seeded David Felix (Fr., Saarbrueken, Germany) knocked off Ondrej Nice, of Seward Co., 6-4, 6-2, to advance to Thursday's semi-final round at No. 3 singles.  

Matt Fisher (Fr., Fountain Hills, AZ/Fountain Hills H.S.) advanced to the consolation semi-finals at No. 5 singles with an 8-0 win over Hector Rodriguez, of New Mexico Military.
