Men's Tennis National Tournament DAY 4 Results

PLANO, Texas, Both of the Mesa men's tennis players still competing at the NJCAA Division I National Championship won their matches Thursday to move into the finals Friday, one in the championship draw and the other in the consolation.  

David Felix (Fr., Saarbruecken, Germany) seeded third at No. 3 singles knocked off second seeded Enrique Pardo, of host Tyler, 7-6(2), 6-3. Felix will meet top-seeded Federico Gomez, of ASA, for the flight title Friday at 8:00 a.m. CDT.  

In the consolation bracket, Matt Fisher (Fr., Fountain Hills, AZ/Fountain Hills H.S.) defeated Hufelder Duarte, of Spartanburg, 8-2, at No. 5 singles. He will play Adarsh Sahoo, of ABAC, also at 8:00 a.m. Friday.
