No. 15 Mesa Volleyball won their first contest in the NJCAA DII Volleyball National Championship over No. 18 Mott Community College, 3-0.
The T-Birds came out with energy and composure under the lights dominating the Bears early and often. Mesa won the first two sets, 25-15 and the third set 25-20.
Brynlee Barris had 12 kills with 0 errors to go along with six blocks, Brianna Anderson had 21 digs and three service aces, Isa Folau had nine kills with 10 digs.
MCC has earned a match against No. 2 Parkland on Wednesday night for the right to advance in the bracket.
