Taylor Jacobs Breaks School Record at the Gaucho Invite

Glendale, AZ - The Thunderbirds women's track & field team had an athlete break a school record at the Gaucho Indoor Invitational on Saturday.

Taylor Jacobs broke the school record in the 600m run with a personal-best time of 1:35.75. The previous school record was held by Julia Wild (1:37.06) since the 2011 season.

Kate Brockman (800m - 2:19.50) and Anna Harmon (1000m - 3:06.69) improved their qualifying times with personal-best efforts.

The 4x400m relay (Zaria Hamilton, Chloe Bradley, Diane Ondobo, and Jacobs) ran a season-best time of 3:54.42. Inching themselves closer to the school record of 3:52 from 1984.

Both Reanna Campbell (200m - 25.71) and Natalie Brzezniak (high jump - 1.50m) won their respective events.

Lilyanna Martinez was second in the 60m hurdles (9.12). Zana Ryan was third in both the 60m dash (7.77) and 200m dash (25.82). 

Victoria Malaki was fourth in the shot put (10.40m) and Madison Hernandez was fourth in the weight throw (12.45m PB).

The lady T-Birds will close out the regular season for indoors at the NAU Tune-Up Meet next Friday in Flagstaff.
