(#7) women's golf takes 39-shot lead at midway point of Paradise Valley Invitational

  Scottsdale, AZ – In the final regular season tournament of the year, the Mesa women's golf team has a 39-sholt lead over South Mountain after the first 18 holes at the Paradise Valley Invitational Monday.

  The T-Birds shot a 315 total to have that margin over SMCC. Pima is in third place at 368.

  MCC's Alyzzah Vakasioula once again has the early lead having fired a 69 to post a four-stroke margin over Kylie Reeberger, of South Mountain. For Vakasioula, it was her sixth sub-70 round of the year and third straight. The tournament is being played at the Wildfire G.C.

  Mesa's Jolie Guyette is tied for fourth with an 81 while Abby Schmidt is sixth at 82 over the tough course.

  Play continues Tuesday.
