Women's golf takes first round lead at Pima Invitational
Tucson, AZ – Once again, Mesa grabbed the early lead at the latest ACCAC women's golf event, the Pima Invitational.
MCC carded a 313 total Monday at the tournament being held at the Randolph Park G.C. to lead host Pima which shot a 332. South Mountain is third, posting a 359.
MCC's Alyzzah Vakasioula leads individually with a three-under-par 70. But her lead is only one shot ahead of PCC's Maria Harrouch who shot a 71.
The T-Birds' Abby Schmidt is tied for third place with a 78, while Viviana Holguin is seventh with an 82, one stroke ahead of teammate Jolie Guyette who is in eighth place at 83. Nalin Lee is in tenth place with a career-best 86.
The event concludes Tuesday.
