Men's and women's tennis open spring with 9-0 wins over Imperial Valley (Calif.)
Spring season started in a big way for the Mesa men's and women's tennis teams which both scored 9-0 wins over Imperial Valley (Calif.) Thursday.
"Great to have us start out with a decisive victory," noted head coach Feroz Rast. "The first match is always tricky and we have not played Imperial Valley in a few years. Our men and women really came out focused. We played our game and really kept the momentum from the start to the finish."
"I was very impressed with how well our doubles teams came out and played. We were moving well and communicating."
"We have a very tough match coming up on Saturday versus a strong NAIA team in Arizona Christian University. I am looking forward to having us step up to the challenge and continue our growth.
