Men's soccer tied 2-2 with Glendale Saturday night.
It was an intense and physical contest as there were a total of 17 yellow cards given out between the two teams, ten to Glendale including a red card and seven to Mesa.
Mesa got on the scoreboard first with a goal early in the first half from Gabe Waters. After that Glendale would respond within two minutes with a goal of their own and add a second one towards the end of the first half to take a 2-1 lead.
In another display of late game heroics, Gabriel Gutierrez scored with less than ten minutes left to tie the game. In both overtime periods Mesa had multiple shots on goal but just couldn't find the back of the net. With the tie the T-Birds now sit fifth in the conference.
The team will travel for their next 2 games as they will face Phoenix College on Tuesday and Scottsdale on Saturday.
