No. 3 MCC Women's Basketball earned a dominant win over Phoenix College on Wednesday night, 84-36 to improve their overall record to 7-2 (3-1 ACCAC).
The Lady T-Birds played lock down defense the whole night, holding the Bears to just 36 points while shooting 31.3% from the field. Mesa forced the Bears to turn the ball over 33 times and would convert those opportunities into 33 points.
MCC did a good job of getting quality shots and knocking them down as they connected on 50% of their attempts from the field and 43.5% from beyond the arc. The Lady T-Bird bench scored 49 points on the night.
Mesa will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to take on Yavapai College, tip-off will be at 2:00 p.m.
