The women's basketball team defeated Glendale 72-35 Saturday afternoon to improve their record to 16-6 (11-4 ACCAC).
MCC controlled the game at a steady pace throughout the first half and stepped it up in a big way in the third quarter. The Lady T-Birds scored 15 straight points before the Gauchos were able to get on the board in the quarter. MCC ended up outsourcing GCC 18-3 in the third period.
Nia Boston led the way for the T-Birds as she had 16 points and nailed 4-5 three pointers. Mackenzie Shivers also hit four three pointers as she poured on 14 points. Love Troupe had a game high 13 rebounds.
Lauryn Mclver and Vinesha Jordan led the way for GCC as they had 11 points in the loss.
Mesa will be back in action on Wednesday as they travel to Eastern Arizona.
