(RV) Lady Thunderbirds Hit The Road to Face Cochise

Mesa, AZ - The Mesa women's basketball team will return to the hardwood this Saturday, as they travel to Douglas to face Cochise College at 5:30 pm. The Thunderbirds haven't played since last Saturday when they defeated Scottsdale Community College 61-37 at home.

Mesa enters play on Saturday with an overall record of 10-6 and is currently 5-4 in ACCAC action. MCC is currently in a tie for second place with Pima Community College in the DII ACCAC Women's Basketball standings. Scottsdale holds the slight edge over both squads by a slim margin. The Thunderbirds also continue to receive votes in the latest NJCAA DII National Poll. Cochise comes into play with a record of 6-8 overall and 3-5 in ACCAC play.

This will be the second and final meeting between these two squads. The Apaches and Thunderbirds squared off against one another back on November 20, with the T-Birds coming out victorious 60-49. In the win, Mykah Anderson led all scorers with 17 points.

Tomorrow's game is scheduled to be live-streamed by Cochise College on their YouTube page. You can watch the game for free by clicking on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Xda-5huaEs
