Anderson wins second ACCAC Defensive Player of the Week honor

Mesa Freshman libero/defensive specialist Brianna Anderson was honored this week by the ACCAC, winning her second DII Defensive Player of the Week award.

Anderson has been the heart and soul of the T-Bird defense all season and continued that trend last week as the T-Birds played four matches, three of which were against DI opponents.

Totaling 95 digs (6.78/set) and 13 assists, Anderson led Mesa to a three and one record knocking off No. 12 Eastern Arizona College, Phoenix College, and the College of Southern Nevada. 

Anderson and the T-Birds look to finish out their gauntlet of seven matches in eight days strong as they travel to take on Pima on Wednesday night.
