MCC Volleyball hits the court on Friday night in their season opener against No. 2 Scottsdale.
The Lady T-Birds begin their season with a tall task, knocking off the defending Region I champion and National Runner-Up. It won't be easy, but head coach Jordan Herrington likes her team's chances against SCC this season thanks to MCC's talented roster and deep bench.
Last season Mesa held tough with the Fighting Artichokes though the scores may not dictate that story.
Mesa went 0-2 against SCC last season and fell to the Artichokes a combined six matches to none. But the T-Birds went out swinging more often than not, within those six matches Mesa lost by five points or less three times and in two of those three lost 25-23, pushing Scottsdale to their limit.
