Mesa, Ariz. - The Thunderbirds volleyball team was able to cruise by the Phoenix College Bears, 3-0, Wednesday night.
Mesa built early leads in the first two sets that Phoenix wasn't able to overcome. With final scores of 25-14 and 25-16.
The Bears gave the T-Birds all they got in the third set, but Mesa was able to pull away, 25-19, to win the match. Mesa has now won 12 straight matches against Phoenix.
The T-Birds (4-7 overall, 4-5 ACCAC) will look to build off their current two-game winning streak as they will hit the road to face the #12 Glendale Gauchos on Friday at 7 PM.
