Women's TF Hit Seven Qualifying marks at Willie Williams

Tucson, AZ - The Thunderbirds women's track & field team competed at the Willie Williams Classic this past weekend.

The 4x400m relay (Diane Ondobo, Zaria Hamilton, Katherine Lemish, and Taylor Jacobs) broke the school record with an impressive 3:50.88 performance.

Victoria Malaki qualified in the discus with a personal-best throw of 46.53m.

The 4x100m relay (Lemish, Zana Ryan, Hamilton, and Ondobo) ran 47.80 seconds to hit a qualifying mark.

Kate Brockman (4:54.98) and Ryan Heiliger (4:57.83 PB) each hit qualifying times for the 1500m.

Lemish (1:04.35 PB) hit a qualifying time in the 400m hurdles. Mia Sirimarco inched closer to the qualifying standard after running 1:06.46.

Story Alexander (12:07.37) improved her PB in the 3000m steeplechase. MaKena Thornton (12:23.16) just missed the standard.

Jacobs (56.81), Hamilton (57.08), and Ondobo (57.62) each ran PB times in the 400m dash.

Maliyah Ross was 0.34m shy of the qualifying standard in the long jump as she jumped a distance of 5.27m.

Natalie Brzezniak tied her PB in the high jump with a mark 0f 1.55m, but was 0.07m shy of the qualifying standard.

The lady T-Birds will compete at the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) Championships this Friday in Glendale.
