Kylie Williams wins No. 6 singles consolation final at NJCAA women's tennis
Tucson, AZ – Mesa's Kylie Williams won the consolation bracket championship at No. 6 singles at the NJCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships Tuesday to close out MCC's participation. The T-Birds are currently in 18th place.
Williams defeated fellow ACCAC player Olivia Haynie, 8-0, to win the bracket final. It was the only match involving the T-Birds.
"Freshman Kylie Williams wins her final match in dominating fashion 8-0," noted head coacj Feroz Rast. "She wins the consolation bracket to complete her amazing freshman year. I am very proud of all the ladies for all the hard work and determination this season. We have shown growth all year."
