(#20) Eastern Arizona edges (#25) Mesa women's tennis, 5-4
Mesa, AZ – Playing their fourth match in the last four days, and against ACCAC-leading Eastern Arizona, the 25th-ranked Mesa women's tennis team fell to the 20th-ranked Gila Monsters on the MCC Courts Thursday, 5-4.
The T-Birds split the six singles matches, but took only one of the doubles contests. Mesa is now 7-6 overall and 4-3 in conference play.
"Tough match today," said Mesa head coach Feroz Rast. "The ladies fought for every point. This has been a great week for us, and I know we were so close to making it four in a row, but I am still very proud of the ladies. Time for us to get ready for PVCC next week."
Mesa will visit its closest competitor in the ACCAC Paradise Valley next Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
