Mesa players fall at NJCAA women's tennis nationals
Mesa had two players in action at the NJCAA Division I Women's Tennis National Championship but both fell in the opening round. The tournament is being played at Gene Autry Park in Mesa.
Both Kendra Farrell and Sage Schula fell in singles play, however the correct flight is unable to be determined due to the way results are presented.
Ferrell lost to eighth-seeded Tsveti Trifanova (Brevard), 6-0, 6-0, at No. 6 and Schula fell to fourth-seeded Laura Quezada Martinez, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 5.
Both will play in the consolation bracket Sunday.
