Chandler, AZ- In a must win situation for the T-Bird women's soccer team, Mesa arose to the challenge and upset Chandler-Gilbert on their own pitch, 2-1.
Mesa scored both goals in the second half, coming from Jessica Lynn(So., Queen Creek, AZ, Queen Creek H.S.) and Victoria McClelland(So., Colorado Springs, CO, Gilbert H.S.).
With the win, Mesa holds to the sixth spot in the ACCAC at 7-10-1 with two more regular season games to play, both at home. Tuesday they host Pima, then Paradise Valley Thursday, both matches starting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday's match will also be sophomore night for the T-Birds.
