T-Bird Golf teed off season at Coyote Classic over the weekend

Men's Golf:
The T-Bird men finished 4th in seven team field. Freshman Tanner Thompson was the top T-Bird as he finished T-7th.
"First tournament jitters for most of the players this week. We will study our stats, look for patterns and make adjustments. Looking forward to Embry Riddle in mid October where we are the only JUCO in the field," said head coach John Guerrero.
Women's Golf:
Due to lack of complete teams, the ladies couldn't post team scores. Therefore, they competed as individuals in the 7 player field. Sophomore Mackenzie Vongphosy captured her first collegiate victory with a six shot victory over T-Bird teammate, sophomore Kasey Reichard.
"Mack played 27 solid holes of golf this week," said Guerrero, "happy to see her earn her first 'dub' as a T-Bird. Kasey and Addison had respectable showings as well."
The Lady Tbirds get no rest as they play in the RJGA Women's Shootout at Estrella GC, Sep 16-17 hosted by Western New Mexico University. Mesa CC is the only JUCO team participating in the 17 team field. Live scoring can be found on Golfstat.
