Women's golf takes 5th at Southwest District Championship.

The MCC women's golf team took home fifth place in the Southwest District Championship on Wednesday.

Over the three day event the Lady T-Birds shot 302-302-311 for a total of 915, just one stroke behind the fourth place finisher and four strokes behind the third place finisher.

MCC finished the best out of their ACCAC opponents as South Mountain finished 7th, and Pima 8th respectively.

Abby Schmidt led the way for the team as finished tied for 9th while shooting a score of 224, 8-over par, (74-75-75).  Presley Pickron finished 16th as she shot 15 over par during the event for a score of 231 (75-71-85).
