(#7) Women's golf wins 15th straight regular-season event at Paradise Valley Inv.
Phoenix, AZ – Taking four of the top seven individual spots, the Mesa women's golf team won its 15th consecutive ACCAC tournament, capturing the Paradise Valley Invitational Monday and Tuesday,
The T-Birds scored a 67-shot win with a 315-328—643 total. Pima was second at 362-348—710 and South Mountain finished third at 354-362—716.
MCC's Alyzzah Vakasious breezed to her 14th consecutive regular-season tournament win, carding a two-under-par 69-70—139 over the challenging Wildfire G.C. layout. That was 17 shots in front of South Mountain's Kylie Rehberger who posted a 74-82—156.
For Mesa, Jolie Guyette finished fifth at 81-86—167, Abby Schmidt sixth with an 82-86—168 and Viviana Holguin was seventh, carding an 83-86—169.
This was the final regular-season tournament of the year. Up next for the T-Birds is the NJCAA SW District event April 16-19 at the Hawk's Creek G.C. in Westworth Village, Texas.
