Jaida Brooks named NJCAA 1st Team All-American

The NJCAA released their 2023-24 All-American selections on Tuesday as MCC guard Jaida Brooks earned 1st team honors.

Brooks had a standout season in her lone year as a T-Bird, averaging 11.8 PPG on 41.7% shooting from the floor. In her 34 games she scored 15 or more points 11 times while putting up 20 or more points four times.

Brooks kept her teammates involved, dishing out 139 total assists this season with a assist to turnover ratio of 1.7. Brooks had 14 games of five or more assists as she had a season high nine in the T-Birds win over Glendale on Dec. 6, 2023. 

Brooks is accompanied by ACCAC counterpart Rylei Waugh (Pima Community College) who also made the All-American First Team.
