Mesa, AZ - The Thunderbirds women's basketball team fell to the Scottsdale Fighting Artichokes Wednesday night, 65-59, in a semifinal matchup of the 2023 NJCAA Region I, Div. II Playoffs.
With the loss, the lady T-Bird's season comes to an end as they will not appear in the region championship game for the first time since the 2008-09 season.
SCC will face off against the Pima Aztecs in the region championship on Saturday, March 11th. The winner will earn an automatic bid to the 2023 NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Port Huron, MI.
