Women's basketball falls to Scottsdale for first time since 2015.

The No. 5 Lady T-Birds fell to Scottsdale Saturday afternoon 70-59 bringing their overall record to 14-4 (9-2 ACCAC). Before Saturday Mesa had won 11 straight games against the Artichokes.

Similar to their game against Cochise on Wednesday, the Thunderbirds dug themselves a hole only against Scottsdale they were unable to get themselves out of it. At the end of the first half MCC found themselves trailing by 9. Scottsdale was able to stave off multiple MCC runs as they would take the victory.

Mesa was led in scoring by Mackenzie Shivers who finished with 18, as Mykah Anderson added 17 in the loss. 

Scottsdale was led in scoring by Danay Williams who had 14 points and 14 rebounds.

MCC will hit the road this week as they will take on Central Arizona Wednesday and Chandler-Gilbert Saturday.
