The women's basketball team defeated Phoenix College 95-33 Saturday afternoon to improve their record to 13-3 overall and 8-1 in conference play.
The team scored the second most points in a game this season and by only allowing 33 points to the Bears set their season best for lowest points given up to an opponent.
Mesa dominated the first quarter as they led 17-2 going into the second period. The team shot 47.6% from deep and 49.3% from the floor. The Thunderbirds were led by AnnMarie Batista off the bench who scored 22 while hitting four three pointers. Nia Boston scored 21 points, while Love Troupe grabbed 11 boards in the win.
Mesa will host both Cochise and Scottsdale this week.
