Mesa, Ariz. - The Thunderbirds women's basketball team fell to the visiting Eastern Arizona Gila Monsters, 72-66, in a hard fought battle between two of the top teams in the ACCAC. More details to follow.
Both MCC and EAC were undefeated in conference play entering tonight's contest as the Gila Monsters were able to prevail and keep their perfect season alive (14-0 overall, 7-0 ACCAC).
The Lady T-Birds (10-3, 5-1) will host rival Pima in a rematch of last season's NJCAA Region I Championship game this Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Theo Heap Gymnasium.
