Kasey Burlingham Earns NJCAA Track & Field Athlete of the Week

Mesa, AZ – Mesa pole vaulter Kasey Burlingham will begin competition at the NJCAA Division I National Championships Friday and Saturday on a high note.  He was named U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national Athlete of the Week.  

Burlingham cleared 16-10 ¾ at Saturday's Mesa Last Chance indoor meet, giving him the top spot on the pole vault performance list this season by more than a foot. He has been at the top of the list for virtually the entire season.  

He will lead a contingent of 18 MCC athletes who will compete in the event Friday and Saturday in Pittsburg, Kan.
