Nick Valle signs with New Mexico State University

Mesa Community College standout Cross Country athlete Nick Valle will continue his athletic and academic career at NCAA DI New Mexico State University  

Valle had an exceptional 2024 Cross Country season at Mesa, earning National Runner-Up honors at the 2024 NJCAA DII Cross Country Championships, a nod to the NJCAA All-American 1st Team, all while helping to lead his team to a 5th place finish at Nationals.

Valle credits his never give up mentality and his unique ability to turn hardship into lessons to grow from as a key factor for this accomplishment.

"I am very grateful for this opportunity, it was truly a blessing to be a part of this program. Getting to this point was a result of years of hard work, and getting back up when things got tough," said Valle, "I don't give up when I lose bad. Each "L" moving forward is a lesson not a loss. The mindset hasn't changed and won't change moving forward, and I'm ready to give it my all in track and in the classroom for the rest of the time I have at MCC."

Mesa Athletics is extremely proud of Valle for his accomplishment and are looking forward to seeing Valle succeed at the next level.
