Mesa Cross Country opens season at Mesa College Early Bird Open

The Mesa Men and Women Cross Country teams had their season-opening meet Saturday at the Mesa College Early Bird Open hosted by Mesa Community College.
In the small field both the men and women did well considering the warmer and more humid weather conditions that the athletes faced. Javier Garcia led the men with a time of 26:23 while Carmella Baldwin led the Lady T-Birds with a 19:50 finish.
The Mesa men were split up into three teams (red, white, and blue) during the race and the blue team ran away with the victory over their teammates.
