Hobbs, NM - The Thunderbirds men's track & field team earned three All-American honors on day two of the NJCAA Outdoor Championships.

Yotuel Garcia (31:43.26) and Javier Garcia (31:44.85 personal best) earned AA honors in the 10,000m run, placing fifth and sixth overall.

The 4x800m relay (Samuel Green, Ernest Green, Hayden Gelder, and Noah Clark) earned AA honors with a fourth-place finish (7:39.63).

Tyson Tippett advanced to the 100m dash final after finishing ninth in the prelim. Khamis Hassan ran a PB time of 10.39 seconds.

T. Tippett doubled back to run a PB time in the 200m prelims (20.83 seconds) and was 18th.

Miles Fears was 15th in the 110m hurdle prelims with a 14.60-second PB.

E. Green just missed out on advancing to the 800m final after finishing 11th in the prelims. S. Green was 18th and N. Clark was 40th.

Noah Miller was 13th in the discus throw. Greyson Akers was 22nd in the 3000m steeplechase. H. Gelder was 29th in the 1500m prelims.

The T-Birds are sixth in the team standings with 16 points. The remaining 13 events will take place on Saturday.
