MCC tennis competes at Lumberjack Open at NAU

  The Mesa tennis teams continued with the busy fall schedule of primarily scrimmages with another good showing at the Lumberjack Open at Northern Arizona University Friday and Saturday.

  According to head coach Feroz Rast, "It was a great weekend of play and we finished the tournament 5-1. Great showing in our first fall tournament. We look forward to getting back to practice and preparing for Arizona Christian University Invitational Tournament at the end of the m

"I'm ery proud of this team. Playing world team tennis format is so different than what we are used to.  The team handled it very well. We were on fire all tournament and ran into a very strong ASU A team in the final. We had so many highlights this weekend but the best match was definitely against UoA A team when we pulled off a clutch 24-23 win."

 The T-Birds will next meet Arizona Christian at Paradise Valley CC Wednesday.
