Tennis teams open season with scrimmage at Ottawa

The Mesa men's and women's tennis teams opened their 2021-22 seasons with scrimmages against Ottawa (AZ) Thursday at the Surprise Tennis Center.

"It was a great first scrimmage of the season," noted head coach Feroz Rast. "Both the men and women played so well. It was a great night of competition and we certainly got better.  Ottawa University has such a strong team and it was great for us to play such high competition.  Love the energy from our team and excited for the future."

  MCC plays another scrimmage Saturday at home against the Grand Canyon University Club Team at noon.
