Perfect start as No. 7 men's tennis opens ACCAC play with 9-0 win at Paradise Valley

Paradise Valley AZ - It was a perfect start to the ACCAC season for the seventh-ranked Mesa men's tennis team as it blanked Paradise Valley, 9-0, Thursday.

"The guys played well. It wasn't our best performance but we got the job done," noted head coach Adam Cohen. "Their courts are very different from ours so its tough to get off to a good start. Once we settled in, we looked sharp. PVCC is looking good this year, so I am happy we were able to get out with a 9-0 victory."

David Felix, ranked No. 14 in the nation, scored a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles. No. 31 Linus Holthey did him one better at No. 4 with a 6-0, 6-0, victory and Matt Fisher was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 6.

MCC will host Arizona Christian at 1:00 p.m. Friday.
