No. 14 MCC Men's Soccer hosts Gateway Community College Friday night in an ACCAC contest.
MCC is coming off of a 4-1 defeat at the hands of No. 3 Pima CC on Tuesday. A match where the Aztecs got on the scoreboard early and never looked back scoring two goals within the first ten minutes of the match. The Thunderbirds hold a 3-2-4 overall record and a 1-1-4 record against ACCAC opponents.
GCC holds a 2-9 overall mark and are 0-7 in conference games. The Geckos are 0-4-1 in their last five games with losses to Pima, Glendale, and Paradise Valley.
The Thunderbirds have five games left in the regular season, all conference contests. Currently MCC sits behind Scottsdale for the last postseason spot when it comes to DII teams. The push for the playoffs could get tight as MCC has a favorable schedule ahead of them as their remaining opponents have a combined overall record of 13-36-6.
The game will kickoff at 7:00 P.M. and can be watched live via T-Birds Sports Live.
