No. 8 MCC Men's Soccer welcomes Scottsdale Community College to John D. Riggs Stadium on Saturday night for a high stakes ACCAC matchup.
MCC comes in riding high after defeating DI foe, Yavapai College last Saturday, 3-2. Before their big win the Thunderbirds had given amazing efforts against tough opponents including two DI schools in Eastern Arizona College and No. 2 Arizona Western as well as Phoenix College who at the time of their contest was ranked No. 1 in the country for DII teams. All three games resulted in 1-1 ties.
On the season MCC holds a 3-1-3 overall record (1-0-3 ACCAC).
SCC comes into the contest with a 2-6-2 overall record (2-3-1 ACCAC). The Fighting Artichokes are 2-2-1 in their last five games and have made strides after starting off their season losing six of their first seven games.
MCC and SCC have met once prior this season back in late Aug. The Thunderbirds came away with a 2-1 victory in the non-conference match.
