No. 10 Mesa gets back on track with 2-0 shutout of Paradise Valley

No. 10 men's soccer defeats Paradise Valley 2-0, Tuesday afternoon.

Mesa bounced back off their quiet offensive game against Arizona Western Tuesday, as they were able to get 11 shots against Paradise Valley. Facing Arizona Western, the T-Birds were only able to record one.

The Thunderbirds were able to get their first goal in the 64th minute as Marco Martinez found the back of the net to give the team the 1-0 advantage. In the 86th minute Adnan Elaqad was able to increase the lead to two, after a Marco Martinez assist.

With the victory the team's overall record increases to 9-3-1, with a conference mark of 4-2-1. The team still sits in fourth in the ACCAC standings.

The team will play their final away game Tuesday, Oct. 11 as they travel to face South Mountain. They then finish off their final two games of thre regular season at home against Gateway and Chandler-Gilbert.
