Men's soccer defeated Scottsdale 2-1 Saturday night.
Mesa improves their overall season record to 6-2-1, with a conference record of 1-1-1 with the victory.
Both T-Bird goals came in the second half, the first coming from Gabriel Gutierrez (his second of the season) and the second from Jorge Chavez (his third of the season).
Yet again Mesa had a big second half that pushed them to victory. Of their 27 goals this season 19 of them have come in the second half.
Mesa will continue conference play this week as they will host Yavapai Tuesday and Pima Saturday.
