Men's soccer comes from behind to down Scottsdale

Men's soccer won their first game of the season Saturday night against Scottsdale 4-3.

The men came out of the first half trailing 2-1, then fell behind 3-1 on an early second half Scottsdale goal. From then on Mesa would score three unanswered goals to stun the Artichokes.

After cutting the deficit to one thanks to a Marco Martinez goal, momentum began to build for Mesa. With four minutes left Adnan Elaqad scored off a header to tie the game. With a minute left Adnan Laroussi scored with a tap in off of a corner kick to take the lead.

With the victory, Mesa's record improves to 1-1 overall. The team  will hit the road on Tuesday as they square off against Glendale, kickoff will be at 5:00 P.M.
