Mesa, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds men's soccer used a four goal second half to earn its first victory of the 2021 season, defeating the Paradise Valley Pumas, 4-0, Saturday night.
Samuel Vega scored the T-Birds first goal in the fourth minute into the second half. Just two minutes later, Jorge Chavez Jr connected on Mesa's second goal being assisted by Pedro Landeros.
A penalty kick by Nabil Laroussi made a 3-0 game with Antonio Flores finishing the scoring with a goal just two minutes later.
With their first win on the season, Mesa is 1-4 on the season. The T-Birds will have a whole week until their next competition at Glendale on Saturday morning.
