Kocsis medals as Men's Golf takes second at SMCC Invite

Mesa Men's Golf took home second place in the SMCC Invite on Tuesday.
The T-Birds used a consistent performance in the first and second round to propel them to a second place finish behind No. 2 South Mountain. As a team Mesa shot -14 (280-282-562) in the tournament.
In the first round Luke Stephens and Kush Shah led the way for MCC as they each shot -3 (69) to go into the second round tied for 5th place. Tanner Thompson was close behind as he fired -2 (70) while Nathan Giles and Ross Kocsis shot even par (72). As a team the T-Birds shot -8 (280) on the day.
In the second round Kocsis shot up the leaderboard as he shot a -5 (67) on the day including five birdies and one eagle. Kocsis would finish in 5th individually. Stepehens shot even par (72) in the second round while Giles shot -2 (70) and Shah fired a +1 (73). As a team MCC shot -6 (282) in the second round.
Mesa will be back in action in the CGCC Invite April 3-4 at Toka Sticks GC.
