Beach's 67 leads men's golf at Eastern Arizona Invitational
Thatcher, AZ – Warner Beach shot the second best round of his Mesa career, a five-under-par 67, to lead the MCC golf team Monday. The T-Birds were tied for fourth place after the first round of play at the Eastern Arizona Invitational Monday.
MCC shot a 296 to trail leader South Mountain by ten shots. Paradise Valley was two shots in front of MCC at 294 and Glendale one clear of the T-Birds with a 295. Pima is tied with Mesa.
Individually, Beach leads by three strokes. His best career round is a 64 at the Desert Duel earlier this season. Ray Ramirez posted a 73 to stand in a tie for eighth place. Caden Rice and Dawson Moon are tied for 23rd place after carding 78s.
The tournament, being held at the Mt. Graham G.C., concludes Tuesday.
