Beach fires 64 in men's golf win
Warner Beach came within one shot of the Mesa single round record by posting a 64 at the Desert Duel at the Dobson Ranch G.C. Wednesday.
The record of 63 is co-held by Ryan Caughlin in 2004 and Ajay Wilson in 2013.
Beach carded the eight-under-par score topping teammate Jacob Trevino who fired a three-under 69. MCC shot a nine-under-par 279 to win the one-round event over Glendale, the only other team entered, which had a 284.
Caden Rice placed seventh for the T-Birds with an even-par 72.
Mesa concludes its fall season at the South Mountain Classic Nov. 1-2.
