Sixth Place Finish for Men's Golf at PV Invite

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Shooting its two highest scores of the year, the Mesa men's golf team took sixth place at the Paradise Valley Invitational Monday and Tuesday at the Gainey Ranch G.C.  

MCC posted a 308 on the first day and then followed that with a 316 Tuesday for a 624 total. The T-Birds' highest score for a 36-hole event previously had been 590.  

South Mountain won the event with a 283-294—577 followed by Pima at 294-287—581.  

For Mesa, the top finishers were  Alex Trevino who tied for 16th at 74-76—150; T.J. Katherineberg who tied for 22nd place with a 73-81—154 and two who tied for 36th, Jake Girard at 81-79—160 and Jeff Kelley with an 80-80—160.  

MCC will play in the Scottsdale Invitational April 10-11 at the Hillcrest G.C., in Sun City, AZ.
