The MCC men's basketball team fell to Phoenix College in double overtime Saturday afternoon, 77-74.

Two 20 minute halves weren't enough to decide a winner in MCC's final regular season home game of the season against the Bears. After both halves each team were tied as after regulation the score was knotted up at 60.

Both teams put seven on the board in the first overtime period which prompted a second where PC was able to outscore Mesa 10-7 to secure the three point win.

MCC only shot eight free throws in the contest making just four, while Phoenix shot 30 making 23. MCC also had 20 turnovers compared to the Bears 10.

Michael Rogers of Phoenix College led all scorers with 34 points while his teammate Jamar Brown had 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Nicholas Riley led the T-Birds with 21 points and 15 rebounds, while Tampa Scott had 13 points.

The team will finish their last three games of the season on the road as they will take on Cochise, Scottsdale, and South Mountain.
